'Sang'gre' stars surprise students on first day of classes in QC school
"Sang'gre" stars Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda surprised students of Bagong Silangan Elementary School in Quezon City on the first day of classes nationwide on Monday.
As seen in "Unang Hirit" Monday, the actors visited the school with Kapuso hosts Suzi Entrata-Abrera and Kaloy Tingcungco.
The four introduced their characters, the new generation of Sang'gres, to the students and also shared stories and back-to-school advice.
Bianca, for her part, shared that her favorite memory from school is when students would gather in the morning.
"Kasi dito nakikita mo sino 'yung mga kasabay mo para sa isang buong taon, dito nakikita mo sino magkakabarkada on different levels. So excited ako, mga bata, na kayo ay back to school na at masaya po kami na kasama ninyo kami ngayong umaga," she said.
Faith and Angel also advised the students to focus on their studies, as well as have fun and make friends at the same time.
The "Sang'gre" stars then went down the stage and interacted with the students before distributing giveaways, which included backpacks and school supplies.
"Sang'gre" is the spinoff of the hit Kapuso series "Encantadia."
Bianca, Faith, Angel, and Kelvin will play the roles of Terra, Flamarra, Deia, and Adamus, the new keepers of the gems of earth, fire, air, and water.
The series also features a new set of characters including Rhian Ramos as Mitena, the late Ricky Davao as Governor Emil, Ysabel Ortega as Armea, and Sienna Stevens as the younger counterpart of Rhian.
"Sang'gre" will finally premiere on GMA Prime on Monday, June 16, at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."
