'PBB' duo challengers bring tough love as they test Charlie Fleming, Esnyr's mettle in debate

'PBB' duo challengers bring tough love as they test Charlie Fleming, Esnyr's mettle in debate

The “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” evicted housemates or duo challengers did not hold back as they grilled Charlie Fleming and Esnyr.

The remaining housemates were first asked by Kuya if any evicted duos were deserving to come back to the house, and if they were willing to switch spots with them. Then they entered the Big Tapatan, where they had to defend their decision and why they deserve a Big Four spot to the evicted housemates.

Charlie and Esnyr first said that Klarisse De Guzman and Shuvee Etrata deserve to come back to Bahay ni Kuya, but they won’t give their spots to them.

“First and foremost, hindi ako nanatili sa bahay na ‘to ng 100 days para ibigay lang sa iba,” Esnyr said.

Charlie meanwhile said, “You guys know I’m a wildcard at bumalik ako dito for a reason. Binalik ako ng taumbayan para lumaban.”

When it was time for the debate, Ashley Ortega reminded Charlie of their old conversation where Charlie said Ashley deserved the wildcard spot more.

Ashley asked, “Did you mean that?”

Charlie answered, “Ate, kasi alam kong mas marami kang mapapakita kasi kulang ‘yung time mo nung first weeks. I know that you’re my ate and you really deserve that spot kasi I saw that you also really wanted it. It just so happened to be na ako ‘yung napili ng taumbayan.”

Emilio Daez then brought up that Charlie says she is mature for her age but always uses the “bunso card."

Charlie said she came into Bahay ni Kuya not expecting to be the youngest.

“I was put in this house not because of my age, but because of who I am. I came into this house at alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ako naging pabigat in any way,” Charlie said. “I didn't ask you guys to baby me or anything. As I said, I was proud to call each and everyone if you guys my kuyas and ates. And if you think that I'm using the bunso card just like that, then you guys have got it wrong.”

Things turn intense when AC Bonifacio asks Charlie, “Do you feel like you have grown in this house?”

Charlie answered yes, but AC and the other housemates brought up her disrespect towards Kuya and breaking the rules.

“Is that maturity? Parang immaturity ‘yan eh,” Michael Sager said. He added, “’Yan ang all talk, walang galaw.”

Kira Balinger added, “Anything that is said inside the confession room is not supposed to go out. You already disrespected Kuya's rules, sumagot ka pa. Was that right?”

Charlie then admitted that it was a mistake and she acknowledges it.

Esnyr comes in to say, “I think growth naman guys, ‘di naman agad agad ‘yan eh. ‘Di mo naman masasabi you’re a changed person sa isang tulog lang, sa dalawa, sa tatlo. Kayo?”

The duo challengers said that Charlie had the time for growth when she was evicted and had time outside the house.

“I understand that I had a privilege inside one month, outside a month, and inside again for a month. But it's hard to adjust, and everyone knows that. Coming in, you have to adjust. Coming out, I had to adjust,” Charlie said.

Michael said, “Why so? Because when you're a wildcard, you can just disrespect Kuya?”

“Coming in, I had to adjust again. I know it was my fault, and even now, I'm still improving. If you ask the other housemates, you can see how I’ve improved and I’ve really tried to shut everything inside of me. I’ve been trying to shut it off to fully function inside this house, so that’s where I say I have improved,” Charlie replied.

As for Esnyr, Josh Ford asked why she is so concerned about what the public thinks of her. “Why are you playing safe and why are you acting?”

Esnyr said, “Syempre, magaalala ka kasi pangarap mo ‘yung pinapalagaan mo dito. Pangarap mo ‘yung nilalaban mo dito.”

The content creator added that she is very sure of herself but is not sure of what other people say.

“Recently, wala na ‘kong pake. Kasi nung pumasok si Ate Maris [Racal], sabi niya bakit ko iisipin ‘yung labas when I can focus on the now.”

Esnyr also denied that she is playing safe. “Girl, feeling niyo playing safe ako? Never nga ako na-nominate eh.”

Vince Maristela then brought up Esnyr being a joker, to which she replied that everyone says it brings lightness to the house.

AC then said that nobody chose her as a duo partner despite the lightness.

“Okay lang na hindi mapili kasi at the end of the day, wala naman ‘yan sa ka-duo mo, nasa sarili mo naman ‘yan eh,” Esnyr said. “Yes, malaking part si Charlie, malaking part ‘yung ka-duo mo. Pero ‘yung nilalaban mol ang dito ‘yung pangarap mo. Wala akong pakealam kung pipiliin ba ‘ko o hindi.”

Although Esnyr admitted it hurt that she wasn’t chosen, “that doesn’t define me as a person. That doesn’t define me kung walang pipili na sa ‘kin na patawa lang ako dito. Hello, hindi.”

After the heated discussion, CharEs were able to give their final words to the duo challengers.

Esnyr said, “I understand you. Thank you. Thank you for letting us know, at thank you for these questions kasi somehow nabigyan kami ng pagkakataon na i-clarify sa inyo at makapag-reflect also at makapagbigay sa inyo ng totoong opinyon or totoong thoughts about this.”

“Andito ako kasi may nilalaban ako at andito ako para sa pamilya ko. Alam niyo na ‘yan.”

In tears, Charlie also said she is thankful to have been a part of this with them.

“Maraming maraming salamat na naging sandalan ko din kayo paglabas. Kaya kung masasabi niyong bunso card, maraming salamat sa pagiging ate at kuya sa ‘kin. And I’m thankful I found a family here in Manila.”

Later in the confession room, Michael said he went all out to give Esnyr and Charlie a chance to show that they deserve their slots.

“It was for the betterment of them. And naniniwala ako tough love ‘yun,” he said.

AC said it was heavy for them “na we had to face them, we had to tell them the issues, the problems. It was really hard po, Kuya.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
