Paul Salas reacts over viral video of performance in Palawan

Paul Salas has addressed the viral video showing a fan falling on the floor during his performance in Palawan.

On Facebook, Kapuso actor shared a fan-taken video showing him warmly engaging with the audience during a performance.

In the clip, a female fan approached him for a photo, and after their sweet interaction, Paul unknowingly took her chair, thinking it was empty. Moments later, the fan attempted to sit back down—only to fall when the chair was no longer there.

The video, which was uploaded by Shamel Ledesma Aguirre on Facebook, has now gone viral with 13 million views and over 200,000 reactions as of writing.

Reacting to the viral video, Paul humorously acknowledged the chair mishap, saying "Hindi naman kasi sa akin ang upuan kuha ako ng kuha."

He later apologized to the fan, expressed relief that she was OK, and said that he would make it up to her.

"Pasensya minamahal kong binibini at hindi ko napansin eh upuan mo pala 'yun. Bawi ako sa 'yo. I love you! Mabuti at okay ka.  Sana nag-enjoy ang lahat ng taga Brookes Point Palawan love you guys," Paul added.

In Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras" on Monday, Paul explained that he often takes a chair every time he performs.

"Alam ng mga napuntahan kong provinces 'yan. Lumalapit ako sa tao tapos umaangat ako sa monobloc. Nagbibigay kasi ako ng jacket ko eh, ng mga necklace na suot ko," he explained.

According to Paul, he was surprised when someone tagged him on the video that has now gone viral.

"Hindi ko alam na upuan niya 'yon. Kasi nga tumayo siya. Eh naka-ear monitors pa ako 'non. So wala talaga akong naramdaman na anything," he added.

The girl in the video, Katrina Jane Lopez said that what happened was "unexpected" and thanked Paul for entertaining them.

"Unexpected na pangyayari 'yon. Inano ko na lang na maging positive ang lahat po 'non noh. Salamat din kay Sir Paul kasi siyemore napasaya niya kami," she said.

Paul and Katrina also urged netizens to refrain from posting negative comments about the video.

"Unang-una Madam, sorry, sorry. Hindi ko napansin talaga. Kaya mga Kapuso naku, itigil na 'yung pamba-bash sa aming dalawa. Good vibes na lang. At for sure sana napasaya naman at makabalik naman ako diyan, para makabawi naman ako sa 'yo," Paul said.

For Paul, whom netizens started calling "Pa-fall Salas," what happened is a lesson learned for him.

"Magdadala ako ng upuan next show para wala ng casualties o maapektuhan," he said.

Paul previously starred in the Philippine adaptation of hit Korean drama "Shining Inheritance" and the second season of "Lolong."
