Mika Salamanca on having strong personality: 'Kinailangan ko talaga'

Mika Salamanca admitted that she is often misunderstood for having a strong personality.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas in "24 Oras" on Monday, the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" Big Winner said she needed to be strong because of all the hate she received from her past controversy.

"Kaya po ako nagkaroon ng strong personality kasi kinailangan ko po talaga. With the industry, with the hate na na-receive ko from the past kinailangan ko po talaga maging strong. Kinailangan kong magtayo ng walls," she said.

When asked whom she confides in whenever she feels upset, the Sparkle star answered that she turns to her older sister.

"Alam niya talaga lahat. Lahat ng sulok ng emosyon ko, alam niya. Alam niya lahat ng sakit na naranasan. At siya po, nagiging malakas din po para sa akin," Mika said, turning emotional.

"Alam po ng ate ko na mahal na mahal ko po siya. Salamat sa kaniya kasi kada taon nakaka-stay ako dahil sa kaniya, napo-prolong ako dahil sa kaniya," she added.

Mika and her duo Brent Manalo were the first-ever Big Winner duo of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" winning over 33% of the public votes.
