Barbie Forteza wants to do more horror projects after 'P77'
Barbie Forteza's performance in "P77" has been getting rave reviews from viewers and critics alike.
The film is her first solo lead role in the horror genre, and the Kapuso Primetime Princess showed why she's one of the best actresses of her generation.
On the sidelines of the GMA Gala 2025, Barbie told GMA News Online that she wants to do more horror projects in the future.
"It's my favorite genre to watch and it's such a joy na ako 'yung pinapanood ko sa genre na gusto ko," she said.
Barbie said her heart is full after seeing all the praise for "P77."
"We did the movie a year ago and now we're just so overwhelmed with all the good reviews the film has been receiving," she said.
"It's such a wonderful film, I hope more people get to watch it, more people get to see it. There's a lot of life lessons, realizations, in the guise of horror, of course," she added.
Barbie stars in the film as Luna Caceres, who takes up a cleaning job in a mysterious penthouse. Other cast members include Euwenn Mikaell, Gina Pareño, JC Alcantara, Jackie Lou Blanco, Carlos Siguion-Reyna, and more.
P77 is directed by Derrick Cabrido and produced by GMA Pictures. It is still showing in cinemas nationwide.
Meanwhile, Barbie also stars with Kylie Alcantara and Ruffa Gutierrez in "Beauty Empire," which airs on GMA Prime and streams on Viu.
