Teejay Marquez inks contract with Sparkle, dreams to be part of a Kapuso fantaserye

Teejay Marquez is now officially a Sparkle artist!

His contract signing happened on Tuesday at the GMA Network boardroom. 

Present were GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and GMA Films President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes; Sparkle GMA Artist Center and Talent Development and Management First Vice President Joy Marcelo; ALV Talent Circuit CEO and Teejay’s co-manager Arnold Vegafria; and Senior Manager Jan Navarro.

Following the signing, Teejay told GMA News Online, “Definitely, I’m so happy.”

“Alam naman niyong lahat na lagi akong nasa GMA and dito naman talaga ako nagsimula sa ‘Walang Tulugan’ pa,” he said.

“To be able na maka-sign ako sa Sparkle, sobrang nakakataba ng puso kasi tagal ko na rin siyang hinintay and grabe, dito naman ako lagi, and ang saya saya ko lang na finally, I’m part of [the] GMA family and mayroon akong matatawag na bahay, may makakasama, at may network na ‘ko.”

Teejay’s dream project is to be part of a GMA fantaserye.

“Gusto ko mag-costume, mahilig ako sa mga character na pwede akong—you know, imagination kung ano ‘yung character na ‘yon,” he said.

“Hopefully, makapag-superhero din ako o kaya mga action-packed,” he added. “Kahit ano namang ibigay, alam ko na I’ll do my best para ‘di sila mabigo or mabigay ko ‘yung hinahanap nila.”

Teejay is best known for his roles in “Makiling,” “Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss,” and “Ben X Jim.” He was also part of German "Kuya Germs" Moreno's "Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman."
