Aegis set to release new music, go on tour in US and Canada
Aegis fans, rejoice!
The OPM band guested on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Wednesday where they confirmed that they are set to release new music!
During the show, sisters Juliet and Ken Sunot sang a verse of one of their new songs, which they made in tribute to their late vocalist and sister Mercy Sunot, who passed away in November 2024 due to cancer.
According to bassist Rowena Pinpin Adriano, they have two new songs coming out, including the untitled song they composed for Mercy.
When asked by Tito Boy if they are also releasing a new album, Rowena answered, "Dalawa, ilalabas [pa lang]."
Rowena also expressed her gratitude to their fans for supporting them for more than 20 years and hoped they would continue to cherish their music.
"Sana tangkilikin pa rin nila 'yung susunod na album at sana madagdagan pa siya. Nagpapasalamat kami, Tito Boy, mula sa aming puso talaga na dahil sa kanila nandito pa rin kami. Hangga't tinatangkilik kami at mahal pa rin nila kami, andito pa rin kami," she said, adding that even the young generation listen to their music.
Juliet added that they will be holding a tour in the United States and Canada.
"Sana po 'yung bago naming kanta matanggap nila at meron din po kaming U.S. tour and Canada tour," said Juliet.
Aegis is best known for their hits “Sinta,” “Luha,” and “Basang-basa sa Ulan," among others. Current members include Juliet, Ken (also known as Kris), Rowena, Vilma Goloviogo, Rey Abenoja, and Stella Galindo.
