‘Squad Game’ of ‘Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko’ wins at 5th Sinebata Awards
The “Squad Game” episode of “Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko” was among those recognized at the fifth Sinebata Awards.
According to Bernadette Reyes’ report on “24 Oras,” Wednesday, the episode was honored in the Professional Fiction age group for 8 to 12-year-olds.
Cassy Legaspi, one of the cast members, expressed immense pride and excitement for their achievement.
“Super kilig po ako. And once again, I’m very, very proud of our team,” she said.
Beyond “Squad Game,” several Sparkle kids were also recognized as finalists in the Children Video Makers 12 Years Old and Under category for their inspiring media content aimed at young audiences.
These talented young individuals include Jordan Lim, Aljon Banaira, Ericca Laude, and Jourdanne Baldonido.
“We are very grateful po because we got this opportunity,” Jordan said.
Ericca emphasized the message of peace, while Aljon encouraged mutual understanding.
“Panoorin po nila mga educational kasi if we play too much games, your brain might feed bad stuff,” Jourdanne said.
Anak TV Ambassadors Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay were also present and shared their satisfaction in helping educate children through their involvement.
“Maging aware tayo kasi every time naman na may mga palabas, may sign naman para sa age nila ‘yon, so maging aware tayo, lalo na sa social media kasi maraming link na pinagbabawal. Magugulat ka na lang makakapanood ka ng mga bawal panoorin,” Allen said.
“Sana mas turuan na magsanay sa mga larong pambansa ng Pilipinas. ‘Yung mga patintero,” Sofia said.
Anak TV President Elvira Go underscored the purpose of Sinebata, remarking that it allows participants to realize their talents.
“Sinebata is giving you opportunity to express yourself but also to enjoy, to have fun, and to realize you have the talent given by God. Use it in the right way,” she said.
Meanwhile, “Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko” is also set to represent the country at the Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children for the same episode.
The festival will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 13 to 16.
