Jay Arcilla admits he had a crush on Liezel Lopez, Arra San Agustin during ‘StarStruck’

Jay Arcilla admitted that he had a crush on Liezel Lopez and Arra San Agustin during their “StarStruck” days.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Jay, alongside Dave Bornea and Nikki Co, looked back at their memorable, challenging, and affectionate experiences back when they were competing on the Kapuso show.

Tito Boy also broached the topic of budding romances during their time on the show, with Jay confirming that there were indeed crushes.

“Kasi that time, bata pa po kami rin. Mga 19, 20s,” Jay said.

When asked about his crush, Jay admitted to having a crush on his love team partner, Arra San Agustin, as well as Liezel Lopez.

He said that he did not “formally” court Liezel, but he believed that she was aware of his crush on her.

Meanwhile, Nikki shared that one of his most treasured "StarStruck" memories revolved around a dance dedication for his mom.

“First time ko ‘yun gawin. Kasi in our family, na Chinese, hindi kami very affectionate. So, that’s a good way to show love,” he said.

The gesture was deeply appreciated by his mother, leading to an emotional hug and tears shared right after the performance.

Meanwhile, Dave described his entire “StarStruck” journey as fulfilling and exciting, but the most challenging moment for him was facing elimination just before reaching the Top 14.

“Kasi ‘yun na ‘yun eh, na parang makakatagos na tayo dito, top 14 na, finalist na. Tapos doon pa, doon pa nasibak or natanggal,” he said.

He initially believed it was the end of his dream to become an artist, as their elimination meant they weren’t considered finalists.

“Wala na, uwi na ako. Ang hirap tanggapin. Kasi malapit ka na eh,” Dave said.

Jay, Dave, Nikki, Arra, and Liezel were part of “StarStruck Season 6” in 2015.
