'Sang’gre': Deia fails to seize Mitena’s ice scepter in risky rebellion

Deia (Angel Guardian) finally revolted against Mitena (Rhian Ramos) after the ice queen’s cruel treatment of her mother, Olgana (Bianca Manalo).

On Friday’s episode, Deia turned to Imaw for help after Mitena sealed the sea portal, but he admitted he could not offer her any help.

Upon her return, her fellow Mine-a-ve, Zaur (Gabby Eigenmann), gave Deia a risky mission: steal Mitena’s ice scepter, hinting that he knew the identity of her father. Zaur handed her a sleeping potion to slip into Mitena’s drink.

Deia later approached Mitena with a peace offering in the form of tea, assuring her it was not poisoned.

To her shock, Mitena demanded that she drink as well, but thanks to Zaur’s foresight, Deia had a counter-potion and bravely took a sip, prompting Mitena to follow.

As Deia reached for the scepter, Mitena revealed she had not touched the tea at all.

Calling out Deia’s audacity to attempt theft, she ordered her soldiers to behead the young rebel.

At the brink of execution, mysterious men stormed in, attacking Mitena’s guards and rescuing Deia.

In the chaos, Mitena herself was struck by an arrow, leaving her fate hanging in the balance.
