September 21 rallies: Pura Luka Vega says, 'May namamatay dahil sa korapsyon'

Pura Luka Vega didn't mince words during their speech at the September 21 rally on Sunday at Luneta Park.

In a video taken by GMA News Online reporter Mariel Celine Serquina, the drag artist said, "Ang korapsyon ay kumakain sa ating dangal, kaligtasan, at kinabukasan."

"May namamatay po dahil sa korapsyon," they added. "Pero hindi tayo mananahimik, magkakaugnay ang ating pakikibaka."

The mass protests were triggered by the alleged anomalous flood control projects currently being probed in Congress and the Senate.

Aside from Pura, other celebrities present at Luneta were Elijah Canlas, Angel Aquino, Jodi Sta. Maria, Maris Racal, and Andrea Brillantes, to name a few.

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, another rally called the "Trillion Peso March" is scheduled at the EDSA People Power Monument.
