‘Bubble Gang’ teases Curlee Discaya spoof

“Bubble Gang” is set to make audiences laugh again with this spoof!

In an Instagram Reel, the iconic comedy show teased that their Ciala Dismaya character will soon be joined by “Cornee Dismaya,” a play on Pacifico "Curlee" Discaya II, a contractor who is being questioned amid the ongoing probe into the corruption of flood control projects.

“May makakasama na siya sa susunod na hearing!” “Bubble Gang” said in their caption.

“Bubble Gang’s” “Cornee Dismaya” sketch will air on September 28, Sunday at 6:10 p.m.

Michael V. earlier spoofed Sarah Discaya, the wife of Curlee Discaya.

In the sketch, the Kapuso Comedy Genius transformed into Ciala Dismaya, who is questioned about their construction business and the luxury cars her family owns.

In an interview, Bitoy said that with the flood control issue among the most talked about topics in the Philippines now, there is a clamor for the character of Ciala Dismaya.

He added that his platform and sketches are ways to raise awareness on current events.

"Feeling ko, kung makakatulong 'to sa pag-create ng awareness sa mga totoong nangyayari, sa issue na nangyayari sa bansa natin, e 'di sige. By all memes."

Asked by GMA News Online what lessons or message he hopes the sketch will impart, Michael V. answered, “Mamulat.”

Michael V. also said that "natuwa ako, s'yempre" when he found out from Discaya's lawyer that she is not angry with his impersonation. 

He also previously said he is open to a Ciala Dismaya sequel.
