Who is Justin De Dios? Get to know the SB19 member who plays Ec'naad in 'Sang'gre'
SB19's Justin De Dios immediately captured the hearts of Encantadiks upon his first appearance as Ec'naad in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" on Monday.
As seen in the episode, Ec'naad is a warrior and the gatekeeper of Devas, who barred Pirena (Glaiza De Castro), Terra (Bianca Umali), Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and Deia (Angel Guardian), from entering the heavenly realm.
Shortly after his debut, the P-Pop star dominated the trending topics in the Philippines on X (formerly Twitter), claiming two spots on the list.
For those who are not yet familiar with Justin, here are some facts about the new “Ecantadia” cast member.
He is the creative director of SB19
Justin debuted with SB19 in 2018 alongside members Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Josh. Aside from being the group’s sub-vocalist and youngest member, he also takes on the role of creative director, shaping the visual and artistic concepts of the group, from their music videos to their live concerts.
He also leads the creative direction of his solo music, and even took on the role for Cup of Joe's music video for "Misteryoso."
He holds a multimedia arts degree
Even though he was busy training for SB19, he graduated with an Honorable Mention in AB Multimedia Arts from De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in 2018.
In 2024, he performed at the opening ceremony of the 100th edition of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) where he didn’t just represent his group, but also his alma mater.
His solo projects are visually and musically stunning
Justin launched his solo career in February 2024 with the release of his solo debut single “Surreal.” It was then followed by the single “Kaibigan” in July 2024. And of course, the music videos are breathtaking!
In a previous interview with GMA Integrated News, the P-Pop sensation admitted that he was extremely nervous when he debuted as a solo artist.
In 2025, Justin collaborated with rising Bicolana singer Dwta for the song “Sampung mga Daliri.”
A cat dad
Justin is a fur parent!
He owns three cats whom he named Saoirse, Menggay and Timtim.
He likes photography
As a Multimedia Arts student, it's no wonder that Justin has an affinity for photography.
He runs a film account on Instagram under the username justfi7m which shows his love for photography.
