Ex-'PBB’ housemates offer advice to new contestants as show returns this October

Former "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" housemates offered advice to the new contestants entering Kuya's house as the show makes a return this October.

In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Wednesday, "PBB" Big Winner Mika Salamanca advised the contestants of the second season not to overthink their stay in the house.

"'Wag niyong i-overthink, 'wag kayo mabuhay sa opinion ng mga nasa labas. Mabuhay kayo sa loob, enjoyin niyo lahat ng moments na nandun kayo," she said.

Will Ashley, who finished as Second Big Placer alongside his Kapamilya duo Ralph De Leon, advised the new housemates to be themselves.

"Just be yourself, 'yun lang talaga, kasi dadalhin ka nun sa mgandabg bagay eh," he said.

Michael Sager also told the new housemates to just "enjoy the ride" and the journey, while Kapamilya housemate Esnyr underscored the importance of authenticity.

"Sobrang bago pong tip na 'to. Be authentic, I'm really excited for them," said Esnyr.

River Joseph, on the other hand, gave practical advice when it came to the food inside Kuya's house.

"Huwag ubusin 'yung pagkain kaagad kasi 'yun 'yung ginawa namin, na-excite kami nung first day namin. Kinain naming lahat," he said.

The second season of "PBB" will open its doors to Gen Z celebrities and rising stars from Sparkle and Star Magic.

Fans will get to know the housemates this October.

GMA Network and ABS-CBN collaborated for the first season of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," which premiered in March and aired for four months. The show concluded on July 5 with the duo of Mika and Brent Manalo (BreKa) as the first-ever Big Winner duo.

The former "PBB" housemates  are set to star in a new collaboration between GMA Network and ABS-CBN.

The teleserye, called "Secrets of Hotel 88," will include Mika, Will, AZ Martinez, Dustin Yu, Josh Ford, and Kapamilya housemates Brent Manalo, River, Ralph, Esnyr, Bianca De Vera, Xyriel Manabat, Kira Balinger, and Klarisse De Guzman.

It is a family mystery drama teleserye that centers on love and friendship. It will air in the first quarter of 2026, with production beginning in October.
