Why Alessandra De Rossi no longer wants to do kissing, love scenes
Alessandra De Rossi admitted that she doesn't like doing kiss and love scenes in movies.
On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the actress turned filmmaker said that as a director, she doesn't see the need to do intimate scenes in a movie.
"Ayaw ko. Hindi rin sila required sa films ko na ganon. Dito, mayroon kaming konti sa 'Everyone Knows Every Juan.' Tapos tinanong ako, ipapakita ba 'yon. Hindi siya ipapakita. Mababanggit lang talaga siya. Ganon. Hindi na kailangan visually ipakita," Alessandra said.
Although she did kissing scenes in the early years of her career, Alessandra said that she later changed her mind over doing scenes like that.
"Nakakadiri siya number one. Number two, kapag nakita mo siya, 'yung first ko kasi eight shots paikot-ikot so parang I was 16-17 years old, nasaktan ako. Puwede pala mangyari 'yon na hindi mo kontrolado na another shot, another take. Kiss kayo ganon," the award-winning actress said.
"Noong napanood ko siya parang na-feel ko magiging proud ba ang tatay ko sa akin? Puro lalaki din ang mga kaibigan ko. Wala silang nakikitang that side of me kasi nga when I'm around them, boys tayo. Then all of a sudden, biglang ganon," she added.
According to Alessandra, love scenes can be faked and she wants to do projects that are child-friendly.
She also admitted that because of this rule she set for herself, she lost some roles.
"Madami akong nawala. 'Yung isa may exposure kasi kakapanganak pa lang. Or 'yung isa importante talaga 'yung love scene. Malaking project sila pero hindi naman ako nagsisi," Alessandra said.
Alessandra starred in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture "Green Bones." She currently stars in the Cinemalaya film "Republika ng Pipolipinas."
Aside from being an actress, she is also the director behind the upcoming film "Everyone Knows Every Juan" which will premiere in cinemas this October. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
