Alessandra De Rossi on highly publicized celebrity breakups: 'Bakit tayo umabot dito?'

Alessandra De Rossi on highly publicized celebrity breakups: 'Bakit tayo umabot dito?'

Alessandra De Rossi had something to say about the information that celebrities like her owe to the public.

During her guesting on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on Wednesday, the actress recalled the time she stopped posting about her life on Instagram when she reached one million followers on the platform.

"Noong nauso 'yung Instagram, puwede ka naman mag-post ng anything na controversial eh. Puwede mong gawin 'yon as an artista eh. Ipopost ko 'to then pag-uusapan 'to. 'Di ko pala siya gusto. 'Yung ganoong paraan," she said.

"I don't like it when people are talking about you, tapos wala silang alam sa context pero may nakapagporma na ng ibang meaning sa post mo. So as soon na nakita ko na 'yung one million followers nag-stop ako talaga. Nag-stop ako mag-post ng whereabouts, ng anything," she added.

Alessandra also said that it's sad that celebrities now have to go through highly publicized breakups.

"No offense sa mga dumadaan sa breakups or whatever. Ngayon lang ako naka-experience na you have to announce your breakup publicly and say na we have decided to part ways ganito ganiyan, and we were like bakit tayo umabot dito?" she said.

Alessandra starred in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture "Green Bones." She currently stars in the Cinemalaya film "Republika ng Pipolipinas."

Aside from being an actress, she is also the director behind the upcoming film "Everyone Knows Every Juan," which will premiere in cinemas this October. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
