Rhian Ramos gets birthday surprise from 'Sang'gre' cast, crew

Rhian Ramos received a sweet birthday surprise from the cast and crew of "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre." 

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Thursday, the Kapuso actress spent her actual birthday on October 3 on the set of the series. 

"Sinorpresa nila ako with cake, flowers. Ang pagmamahal ko sa character ko na si Mitena, talagang there's something about doing the role that feels like home na din to me," she said. 

Rhian noted that her first day back on set was her birthday gift, adding, "It felt natural."

In September, the cast of "Sang'gre" marked their return on set for the next chapter of the beloved Kapuso series. 

Rhian plays the role of Ice Queen Mitena in "Sang'gre." On Episode 83 of the series on Wednesday, Kera Mitena reclaimed her power in Lireo following the return of her loyal general, Olgana (Bianca Manalo), and Veshdita (Shuvee Etrata). 

As to what fans can expect from Mitena's return, Rhian shared that her character will have "a more internal" journey. 

"Mas marami na siyang matututunan about herself, about sa past niya, mas magiging emotional 'yung journey ni Mitena moving forward. So kung dati ang nakikita natin sa kaniya galit, ngayon mas marami na tayong makikitang mga palo ng emotions," she said. 

"Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it on YouTube via the Kapuso Stream.
