Jak Roberto shrugs off bashers targeting sister Sanya Lopez: 'Parte ng trabaho namin ‘yon'

Jak Roberto has spoken up about his sister Sanya Lopez being a frequent target of online bashers, saying it’s something they’ve both learned to accept as part of their life in showbiz.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso actor said that they’ve grown used to criticism over the years and now choose to focus on their supporters instead.

He also noted that they usually do not need to take action or speak out because they have many supporters who defend them.

Their sibling dynamic, particularly this year, has grown even closer.

“Nung nalaman niya ‘yung balita, lagi niya akong tinatawagan. Pupunta siya lagi sa bahay. Nagkukwentuhan kami. As a family, bilang magkapatid, kailangan lagi kayong nag-a-update sa isa't-isa. And kumustahin ‘yung bawat kung ano nangyayari sa buhay,” he said.

Despite the negativity, Jak and Sanya stay grounded by remembering where they came from, adding that it feels good to reminisce.

Pinapalala ko pa rin sa kaniya siyempre, before, kung ano yung life namin,” he said.

When Sanya learned that Jak had finished his house, she became emotional. She cried and hugged him, telling him, “I'm so proud of you, kuya.”

Jak stars in “My Father’s Wife,” while Sanya reprised her role as Danaya in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.”
