Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera named Most Influential Celebrities at 11th EdukCircle Awards
Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera were among the celebrities who were recognized at the 11th EdukCircle Awards.
As seen in Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, the Kapuso Primetime King and Queen took home the Most Influential Celebrities Award from the award-giving body.
According to the Kapuso couple, the recognition comes with a responsibility, especially for the youth.
"Maging magandang inspirasyon sana kami para sa kanila. And of course gusto naming i-spread ang good vibes," Marian said.
"Tingin ko very timely lalo na 'yung GMA may campaign ngayon, 'yung 'Be Juan Tama.' Napakadali nang gumawa ng iba't-ibang klaseng content. So ito ay paalala na dapat nating piliin kung ano ang tama," Dingdong added.
Aside from being entertaining, Dingdong and Marian assure that their content is educational and relevant, which is reflected in the former's informative videos with safety tips as an Ambassador of Panatag Pilipinas Disaster Risk Communication Campaign of the Office of the Civil Defense.
"Ano bang 'yung mga kailangang gawin pagdating sa mga disasters? Minsan nakakatakot 'yan eh. Naiintindihan ko 'yan. Pero may paraan naman. Ang una nating kailangang protektahan kung sakaling may mangyari ay ang ating tahanan, ang ating pamilya," Dingdong said.
Dingdong currently hosts "Family Feud," "Amazing Earth," and "The Voice Kids Philippines." He will also star in upcoming series "Master Cutter" with Max Collins, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, and more.
Meanwhile, Marian is among the judges of "Stars on the Floor." —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
