Maureen Larrazabal, Ara Mina recall real-life feud over a guy: ‘Nag-stop taping kami’

Maureen Larrazabal, Ara Mina recall real-life feud over a guy: ‘Nag-stop taping kami’

Maureen Larrazabal and Ara Mina candidly shared a tense chapter in their friendship, looking back at the time when they fought over a man.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Maureen and Ara shared some of their fondest memories during their “Bubble Gang” days, including an incident so disruptive it caused a stoppage in taping.

“Nag-away kami eh," Maureen said. "Nag-stop taping kami because of that. Because of my ex. Misunderstanding. Kaming dalawa."

She explained the conflict began when her ex-boyfriend caused an issue between them.

Both actresses confirmed the man in question courted Ara when he was still with Maureen.

Ara, however, clarified that she didn’t know they were still together.

“Sabi niya parang wala na sila’” she said.

Maureen and Ara got to resolve the issue when they were left together inside a tent.

“Sinabi ko kay Ms. Camille kasi nag-aaway na kaming dalawa eh. Since magkakasama kami sa isang show, sabi ni Ms. Camille sa ‘min, ‘Let’s stop taping first. Pag-uusapin ko lang silang dalawa para maayos,” Maureen recalled.

Despite the awkward past, both actresses have long moved on from the incident.

“Just two days ago, pinag-usapan namin ‘yon, and we were just laughing,” Maureen said.

Maureen and Ara are set to make appearances in “Bubble Gang,” which is celebrating its 30th anniversary with two-part anniversary special episodes on October 19 and 26.

More special appearances will include Vice Ganda, Jillian Ward, AiAi Delas Alas, Esnyr, and Ogie Alcasid. — LA, GMA Integrated News
