Kathryn Bernardo is the newest Filipino to get a wax figure in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

Kathryn Bernardo is the newest Filipino celebrity to get a wax figure in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong!

Madame Tussauds officially welcomed Kathryn by with an announcement on Instagram.

According to a press statement from Madame Tussauds, Kathryn has already had her measurements taken at a sitting session last August, with her wax figure set to be unveiled in 2026.

"It's a dream come true to have my own wax figure, and I'm grateful to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team for their trust in me," Kathryn said.

"I'm excited for my fans worldwide to visit and interact with my twin, especially as Hong Kong is such a meaningful milestone for me," she added.

As we all know, Kathryn starred opposite Alden Richards in 2019's monumental hit "Hello, Love, Goodbye," which was set in Hong Kong.

Five years later the movie's follow up, "Hello, Love Goodbye," earned over P1 billion in global ticket sales and became the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.

Kath will be the fourth Filipino to be immortalized by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong following Pia Wurtzbach, Manny Pacquiao, and Anne Curtis.

In the statement, Wade Cheng, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said, "we value our Filipino market and aim to provide them with an unforgettable experience at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong."

"Kathryn is an inspiring artist who has worked tirelessly to achieve her success. At Madame Tussauds, we honor excellence with a global impact, making Kathryn the perfect choice for our next Filipino wax figure," she adds.

Kath's wax figure will be displayed alongside Hollywood icons like Rihanna, Johnny Depp, and Robert Pattinson.

Other Filipinos with a Madam Tussauds wax figure include Lea Salonga and Catriona Gray.

On social media earlier this week, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong released a teaser that featured a silhouette of the next Filipino wax figure they plan to immortalize and dropped hints at the caption. Filipino fans couldn't help but play the guessing game, with Kathryn emerging the top guess in the comments section. —LA, GMA Integrated News
