Rita Daniela reacts to court decision on acts of lasciviousness case vs. Archie Alemania
Rita Daniela took to social media to react to the court decision finding Archie Alemania guilty of committing acts of lasciviousness in the case she filed against him.
On Instagram, the Kapuso actress and singer said the justice she received "is not just for me."
"This is also for all the women and men who were abused, harassed, and molested that didn't have the voice and platform to fight for their own rights," she wrote.
"So, I am celebrating this justice with you," she added. "Today, we all won. We won."
Daniela first filed the complaint in October 2024. Her camp asserted that Alemania forcibly kissed her, hugged her tightly, and touched her body against her will.
For his part, Alemania claimed that he only kissed Daniela and nothing more.
In its ruling, the court stated that it was convinced Daniela was telling the truth.
"Her testimony that she has been kissed, hugged, and touched—against her will—even if not asked directly throughout her testimony, appeared vivid when she was confronted about questions..." the ruling said.
The court also said that her narrative coincides with Archie's admission. It stated that his anger, the text message, the rejected call, and the request for him to leave were "persuasive pieces of connected evidence" that leaned towards the conclusion that he committed the said acts.
