Mel Feliciano thanks ex-wife Anna as he bids her goodbye

Anna Feliciano's former husband Mel has taken to social media to thank and bid farewell the late dancer and choreographer.

In a post on Facebook early Wednesday morning, Mel began by saying "Paalam Anna."

He said their separation taught him a lot, especially on how to be a good father to their son.

"Salamat sa pag alaga kay Rupert," Mel said as he asked for forgiveness.

"Tama man o mali ang paghhiwalay natin, patawad," he wrote.

In his short message, Mel said he was present at her wake "mula unang araw hanggang last day" but that he kept a low profile because "moment mo yon."

He thanked their fellow dancers for paying tribute to the legendary choreographer by dancing at the wake as well. 

"Mula sa pamilya ko at sa pamilya mo, lubos akong nakikiramay. We'll pray for your soul," Mel said.

Anna died on Thursday, October 23 at the age of 65.

Her death was announced by her son Rupert, who also reposted his father's message on Facebook and thanked him for :offering, calling, sending help and coming everyday to Mama's wake."

"My family appreciate you so much. I love you, Dad," Rupert added.

Born on November 7, 1959, Anna was known for her artistry and dance choreography often featured in noontime variety shows.
