Who is Fátima Bosch? 5 things about Miss Universe 2025
Mexico’s Fatima Bosch has been crowned as the new Miss Universe queen!
The 2025 edition of the international pageant saw 120 candidates from all over the world, but it was Fatima who ultimately captured the title.
The event, held in Thailand, included preliminary competitions, national costume presentations, and two question-and-answer rounds for the Top 5 that highlighted each contestant’s personality and advocacy.
The pageant wrapped up with the grand coronation, where Fatima was declared the winner.
Here are five things about the new queen:
1. She hails from Tabasco and is 25 years oldOriginally from Teapa, Tabasco, Mexico, the Mexican model was invited to participate in 2019's Miss Universe Mexico but she declined the opportunity so that she could focus on her studies.
2. Fátima took up fashion design
Academically, Fátima has a background in fashion. She studied Clothing and Fashion Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana.
Her education also included stints abroad at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan and the Lyndon Institute in Vermont, United States.
3. She overcame challenges associated with ADHD and dyslexia
Fátima experienced a very difficult childhood due to school bullying.
She explained that she suffers from ADHD and dyslexia, conditions that meant she required special attention to learn.
Like a true queen, Fatime turned these struggles into her strength, allowing them to shape her character, and making her more likely to speak up.
4. Fátima speaks up and sets boundaries
Early on in the Miss Universe 2025 pre-pageant activities, Fatima made headlines after a tense exchange with Miss Universe Thailand director Nawat Itsaragrisil.
Fatima stood her ground, asserting her right to speak and calling out the lack of respect shown toward her.
5. She centers her advocacy on empathy, environmental protection, community impact
Fátima uses her platform on humanitarian and environmental work, supporting initiatives that aid migrant communities and protect natural ecosystems.
