Marco Masa speaks up for Eliza Borromeo amid comments on their PBB journeys
Marco Masa and Eliza Borromeo both admitted that they were surprised about how the public perceived their journeys in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0."
In an interview with GMA News Online, the former housemates said not everything that happened inside the house were presented to the viewers.
"Nagulat po ako na maraming na-twist na pangyayari sa loob ng bahay and nagulat din po ako na marami pa po pala akong hindi alam na nangyayari sa loob ng bahay habang nandoon po ako," Eliza said.
"Of course nakakabigla after a month of being inside na OK sa lahat, na everything's going fine inside, I really tried to build connections inside and talagang I really tried my best to bring the best out of everyone. And paglabas parang whoa ganun pala 'yung naging feedback ng tao," Marco added.
The Sparkle star said despite the feedback about him, he was especially concerned about Eliza and what was being said about her.
"I was really worried din sa kanya and that wala talaga siyang kasalanan. Eliza did a great job inside," he said. "She doesn't deserve everything na ina-accuse sa kanya. She doesn't deserve that and she really is honest and genuine."
Marco also said he wants to protect the connection that he and Eliza built inside the house.
Eliza, meanwhile, asked fans to consider that what they watched was only a portion of the happenings inside Bahay ni Kuya before judging the housemates.
"Gusto ko lang din po sabihin sa inyo na kung ano po 'yung nakikita n'yo hindi lang basta ganun 'yun. Marami po talagang hindi napapakita or kung napakita man sobrang ikli lang," she said. "So ang hirap po para sa akin na i-take din po lahat ng nababasa ko and ng mga sinasabi po sa akin."
However, the Star Magic artist said that she knows her own heart and what she was fighting for.
She also had some kind words for Marco.
"Sobrang bait po talaga ni Marco. And 'yung connection po na nabuo namin sa Bahay ni Kuya, hindi po siya like basta-basta lang. Ayun din po talaga 'yung iniingatan po naming dalawa until now," she said.
Before entering the PBB house, Marco had a love team with fellow Sparkle teen star Ashley Sarmiento. They starred together in various projects, such as "Akusada," "Black Rider," and "Maka."
Eliza, meanwhile, admitted inside Bahay ni Kuya that she used to have feelings for fellow Kapamilya artist Miguel Vergara. Her connection with Marco was one of the surprise developments of the "PBB Collab 2.0."
Marco and Eliza were the second pair of housemates to be evicted from Bahay ni Kuya, following Waynona Collings and Reich Alim.
"Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab 2.0" airs weeknights at 9:40 p.m., Saturdays at 6:15 p.m., and Sundays at 10:05 p.m. on GMA Network.
Marco Masa says @elizaborromeo_ does not deserve the accusations being thrown against her over their PBB journey. They also wish to remind fans that not everything that happened inside Bahay ni Kuya got aired on the show. @gmanews pic.twitter.com/t4CkzQkUsV
