David Licauco playfully says he misses ‘the old Dustin Yu’ amid their busy schedules

David Licauco has admitted that he sometimes misses how things used to be with his friend Dustin Yu, even if their busy schedules have kept them apart since the first season of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.”

In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras,” Wednesday, David jokingly said, “Miss ko na ‘yung dating Dustin.”

“Siya ‘yung hindi nagpapakita. Naging busy na ako sa showbiz eh, pero siya 'yung priority ko. Eh ngayon, anyare? Same lang ‘yun, ‘yung 'Maria Clara at Ibarra,' grabe ang busyness ko, kung saan-saan ako, pero lagi ko siyang kasama,” the Sparkle star said.

David also shared that despite the packed schedule, he’s grateful this year because staying busy has helped him manage his anxiety.

“I feel better. Before kasi, kung wala akong ginagawa, for example in the day, kahit dalawang oras lang ‘yan, I get anxious,” he said.

Work will continue for the actor in 2026 with his upcoming action-drama series “Never Say Die.”

“‘Yun, ‘Never Say Die’ will be airing in January. Hopefully I get a movie next year,” he said.

Outside of acting, David will also be busy with the resort he’s putting up in Siargao. He said he’s looking forward to improving himself next year.

“I’d like to be a better David. Syempre you have to keep learning, you have to be better every year, every day, if kaya,” he said.

David is set to star alongside Jillian Ward in “Never Say Die.”

Other cast members include Kim Ji Soo, Richard Yap, Gina Alajar, Raymart Santiago, Angelu De Leon, Wendell Ramos, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Analyn Barro, Tanjo Villoso, and Michelle Dee.
