Dustin Yu apologizes to close friend David Licauco as busy schedules keep them apart
Dustin Yu has responded to his close friend, David Licauco, after the latter recently said that he misses "the old Dustin" as their busy schedules keep them apart.
In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" on Friday, Dustin said that he saw David's recent interview and that he had apologized to his friend.
"Sabi ko if there's something na parang may na-fi-feel siya, you can talk to me anytime, I mean sabi ko sorry," he shared.
"Part of me would also want to apologize kasi parang na-realize ko na nung time na 'yun, busy rin naman siya pero ako kasi nun hindi ako busy, so ako 'yung laging — eh ngayon busy kami both, so 'yun 'yung gusto kong i-explain sa kaniya."
According to Dustin, their schedules have been nonstop lately, and he noted that he understands how David feels.
"As in wala na kaming time para lumabas pa, pero I get him, super. Valid naman," he added.
David recently shared in a "24 Oras" interview that he misses the old Dustin as he has not seen his friend for a while.
"Siya ‘yung hindi nagpapakita. Naging busy na ako sa showbiz eh, pero siya 'yung priority ko. Eh ngayon, anyare? Same lang ‘yun, ‘yung 'Maria Clara at Ibarra,' grabe ang busyness ko, kung saan-saan ako, pero lagi ko siyang kasama," David had playfully said.
David is set to star alongside Jillian Ward in "Never Say Die."
Meanwhile, Dustin is starring in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry "Love You So Bad" with his fellow former "PBB" housemates Will Ashley and Bianca De Vera.
The movie is directed by Mae Cruz Alviar and will be shown in cinemas beginning December 25.
