‘Love You So Bad’ gets extended run; Will Ashley, Dustin Yu, Bianca De Vera grateful for positive feedback

Love You So Bad,” starring Will Ashley, Bianca De Vera, and Dustin Yu, is still showing in cinemas following the extended run of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025.

According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Thursday, the film recently received support from the Sparkle GMA Artist Center family during a block screening organized by event host and Sparkle artist Tim Yap.

Present at the screening were GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo, and several Sparkle artists.

“I hope more people get to watch these movies kasi pinaghirapan naman talaga sila. Sana we can encourage each other na manood ng mga pelikulang Pilipino,” Tim said.

The lead stars also graced the event and thanked viewers for the positive feedback their movie has been receiving since the festival began.

“Nakakatuwa na na-appreciate po nila ‘yung pelikula namin at nagustuhan po nila ‘yung storya ng ginawa naming pelikula kasi binuhos din po talaga namin ‘yung puso namin dito. And para mabigyan po kami ng supporta ng aming Sparkle family and si Sir Tim Yap, nakakataba po ng puso,” Will said.

The trio also shared their hopes that movie ticket prices would become more affordable to allow more Filipinos to watch MMFF entries during the extended run.

“I believe na ‘yung sweldo na natatanggap ng mga tao, mga Filipino citizen ay hindi naman po din ganoon tumataas, so sana po, syempre, para magkaroon po ng chance na maka-afford din ‘yung mga tao na sakto lang din po ‘yung sweldo,” Will said.

“I hope so because feeling ko naman lahat tayo deserve maging masaya. It's just that hindi lahat tayo sadly ay afford ‘yun so sana tulad ng dati, sana bumaba talaga ‘yung ticket prices,” Bianca said.

Dustin added that lowering prices could help more people enjoy local films.

“Of course, yeah, same with me. Mas maraming makakapanood, mas maraming magiging masaya kung mas magiging mababa ‘yung presyo ng sinehan. I mean, why not, ‘di ba? ‘Yun naman talaga yung hino-hope natin,” he said.

Meanwhile, the cast of "Love You So Bad" is set to travel to Dubai for a free concert for Filipinos abroad as the film also prepares for international screenings in countries with large Filipino communities.

“Super excited kaming mameet sila kasi syempre dito sa Pilipinas parang nakita na namin ‘yung mga tao na nagmamahal at sumusuporta. Pero this time kami po ‘yung pupunta sa Dubai and we're very, very excited to see them,” Will said.

“We're really happy na talagang soon mapapalabas na siya sa mga bansa kung saan may mga Pilipino rin,” Dustin said.

The ongoing run of MMFF has been extended for another week.

Spokesperson Manuel Noel Ferrer announced this on Facebook, adding that the MMFF Season Pass will still be honored until January 14.
