Althea Ablan on friendship status with Jillian Ward and Sofia Pablo: ‘OK ako sa kanilang dalawa’

Althea Ablan opened up about her friendship with Jillian Ward and Sofia Pablo, saying she focuses on her own career while supporting her former co-stars’ success.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Althea was asked about where she currently stands with her fellow Sparkle stars.

“I don't see my co-actors na nakikipag-compete ako sa kanila kasi kung ano ‘yung love ko, kung ano ‘yung gusto ko talagang gawin, ‘yun ‘yung focus ko lang po talaga eh. Nagwo-work talaga ako,” Althea said.

She described her friendship with Sofia and Jillian as special.

“My friendship with Sofia and Jillian, talagang iba po talaga. Si Sofia, friend ko siya nung pumasok ako dito sa GMA. Siya po talaga ‘yung best friend ko,” Althea said.

The young actress also acknowledged experiencing challenges with her friendship with Sofia during their “Prima Donnas” days but said those were natural at their young age.

“Nung ‘Prima Donnas,’ parang nagkaroon ng something na hindi naman po talaga may iwasan. Which is, mga bata pa naman po kami no’n, Tito Boy. But now, gusto ko lang po makita sila na maging successful sila sa bawat career nila. And for myself na rin po. Kasi may kanya-kanya naman po kaming mga unique—unique kami,” she said.

When asked if they are on good terms now, Althea said, “I'm OK. Yes naman po. Jill, yes also. OK ako sa kanilang dalawa.”

Last year, Althea was surprised after Jillian and Sofia’s longtime feud surfaced again years after it began.

"Naniniwala ako na magkakaayos pa sila. Hindi lang siguro ngayon, pero maybe someday, 'di ba? Magkakaintindihan din sila," she said.

Sofia first addressed the issue in a GMA News Interview with Nelson Canlas, saying that she and Jillian never got to talk about their misunderstanding.

Jillian, reacting to Sofia's statement, said she does not have time to fight with anyone and said she is focusing on herself. — Carby Basina/LA, GMA Integrated News
