Liza Soberano, Ogie Diaz reconnect after 3 years
Liza Soberano and her former talent manager, Ogie Diaz, have reconnected after three years of not speaking to each other.
In Ogie's YouTube vlog uploaded on January 6, he revealed that Liza responded to his public birthday greeting on Instagram via direct message.
"Noong nakaraan hindi ako bumabati, hindi naman masama 'yung loob ko, kundi hindi ko maramdaman 'yung sincerity, baka sabihin pinaplastik ko lang," Ogie said.
"Ngayon, wala akong pakialam kahit sabihin n'yong, 'gusto n'yo lang magbati kayo,' wala akong pakialam, binati ko talaga si Liza," he added.
Ogie also said that the reason he greeted the Filipino-American actress on her birthday is that he misses her, and he's happy that she responded.
In his birthday greeting, he wrote: "Happy bday, Liza Soberano! Sana ma-achieve mo ang dream mo to make it big in Hollywood! Sana ay mapaligiran ka din ng mga tamang tao para mas mabilis mo siyang ma-achieve! Love you, Hopie!"
To which Liza responded with: "Thank you, Tito Ogie. I hope you and the family are doing well."
Ogie also said in the vlog that despite everything, he is thankful for Liza and the work they have done together.
"Hindi ko siya puwedeng kalimutan," he said.
In 2023, Liza made big revelations in a two-part series of her guesting on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," where she talked about her resentment toward Ogie and her rebranding as an artist.
Meanwhile, Liza is set to star in "Forgotten Island" alongside Lea Salonga, Manny Jacinto, and H.E.R., an upcoming animated film centered around Philippine mythology.
She made her Hollywood debut in the film "Lisa Frankenstein," where American film critics praised her for her performance. —Hermes Joy Tunac/MGP, GMA Integrated News
