Would Andrea del Rosario return to politics? Actress answers
Would Andrea del Rosario return to politics?
The actress guested on Monday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" where she shared that she has no plans to go back to politics.
"No," she told TIto Boy when asked. "Well, I guess we can read it everywhere why. I don't want to expound, but you know I don't think it's my calling."
She had served as vice mayor of Calatagan, Batangas, from 2016 to 2019.
According to Andrea, her priority is taking care of her daughter, Beatrice.
"And because of my daughter's medical condition, I think that I saw that talagang I really have to focus on just, you know, taking care of her," she added.
In 2024, Andrea shared on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" that Bea underwent major surgery. She also described herself as a "worrywart" when it comes to her daughter.
"She has been fighting to be alive ever since she was born, so siyempre, I can’t help but worry. I think I’m a fun and chill mom,” she had said.
During her latest guesting on the talk show, the beauty queen and former Viva Hot Babes member was also asked if she would ever join Miss Universe.
"No," she said. "I think it's a different discipline. Parang I don't think I'm up for those things, ganun. Pang soap opera and you know, that's it, but wala namang final 'di ba? You never know."
She also mentioned that she is a big fan of the Sexbomb Girls and how the Viva Hot Babes themselves have been hoping to have a reunion of their own.
“Now we just have to sit down one of these days. Hopefully one of these days. Hopefully we can do one with Sexbomb 'cause I’m a fan," she said.
The Viva Hot Babes were a popular Filipino all-female dance in the early 2000s, known for their hit songs such as “Bulaklak.” The group is composed of Andrea, Maui Taylor, Gwen Garci, Katya Santos, and Sheree Bautista, among others.
