Kris Bernal candidly shares why she and Aljur Abrenica didn't end up together: 'Hindi kami mag-jive ng ugali'

Kris Bernal shared why she and her former loveteam partner, Aljur Abrenica, did not end up together even though he tried to court her in the past. 

The Kapuso actress got candid during her "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" guesting on Friday, admitting that their personalities just did not gel well. 

"Parang hindi kami magkasundo talaga. Hindi kami mag-jive ng ugali eh," she said. 

Per Kris, she and Aljur used to be together every day back then, and he had tried to court her.

"Pero siguro na-realize namin na hindi eh, Kahit i-try natin, hindi talaga tayo nagkakasundo. Tinry naman, baka lang, triny naman..." she shared. "Mabilis lang parang mga — kasi lagi kami magkasama everyday talaga — siguro mga two months, three months. Hindi talaga kami magkaugali." 
 
Kris and Aljur reunited on the set of "TiktoClock" just recently, where she teased him about not replying to her messages and not following her on social media. 

Kris told Tito Boy that the encounter happened because she and AJ Raval guested on "TiktoClock" on the same day. 

She clarified that Aljur does not like replying to text messages and prefers phone calls, whereas she dislikes phone calls. 

"'Pag tumatawag, humahaba 'yung usapan, ang tagal matapos, eh ang daldal ni Aljur 'di ba? Kaya ayoko siya tawagan kasi feel ko pag kinausap ko siya, 'ay ang tagal matapos nito," she said. 

"'Yun pala gusto niya tawag. Nagkaintindihan na kami. Ngayon, niyayaya ko ulit siya mag-vlog. Tatawagan ko pa rin siya." 

Kris and Aljur became a famous loveteam in the 2000s following their stint on “Starstruck.”

Kris is set to make her acting comeback with the series “House of Lies” with Beauty Gonzales, Martin Del Rosario, Mike Tan, Jackie Lou Blanco, Snooky Serna, Kokoy De Santos, and more. 

The upcoming afternoon teleserye will premiere on January 19 at 3:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
