Krystal Mejes plans to donate part of P500k PBB cash prize

Krystal Mejes already knows where a portion of her P500,000 cash prize from "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" is headed, and it's close to her heart.

In an interview with GMA News Online, the Kapamilya Second Big Placer shared that giving back is one of her top priorities.

"Gusto ko po siyang ibigay sa charity to help the ones na nangangailangan po. And then to my family and savings for my younger brother," Krystal said.

While she has yet to finalize a specific organization, Krystal revealed that she is strongly considering causes that support senior citizens.

"May pinagpipilian pa lang po ako ngayon. But my heart is gravitating towards the elderly people," she said.

Beyond her charitable plans, Krystal also opened up about the emotional journey she went through inside Kuya's house, including the one housemate who first saw her most vulnerable side.

Without hesitation, she named Carmelle Collado.

"I just feel very safe with her. So, I think the first person na nakita 'yung gano'ng side ko, vulnerability and fragility, was her. Because I allowed myself, and she accepted me for being that way," Krystal said.

Now stepping into a bigger spotlight outside the iconic house, Krystal admitted that the scale of support she has received has been both overwhelming and humbling.

"Mas na-realize ko na I love my fans so much and I love my supporters so much. That I will do everything and anything to not lose them," she said.

She added that the fame that came with PBB taught her an important lesson about staying grounded.

"They inspire me to be more humble, to be more grounded. Kasi gusto ko silang pangalagaan at gusto kong malaman at makita nila na mahal na mahal ko sila."

Krystal is the Second Big Placer alongside Kapuso actor Heath Jornales, who plans to upgrade his family's car with his own cash prize.

"Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" started airing in October 2025.

Throughout the season, viewers followed all the formed groups that braved the weekly challenges and faced the tough tasks inside the house.

The season featured appearances from notable celebrity guests, including Vice Ganda, Gladys Reyes, Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Gonzalez, Ruru Madrid, and more.
