Alden Richards will begin taping for "Love, Siargao," his movie with Nadine Lustre, this April.

In the report of GMA Regional TV's Rgil Relator on "24 Oras," Monday, the Asia's Multimedia Star said that their taping on the island will take a little more than a month.

"Actually, by April we'll be flying to Siargao na and we're gonna be staying there for a little over a month to shoot it," he shared.

"It's our love letter to the Filipinos na sometimes we want to highlight the beauty of the Philippines alongside telling a really great love story, so abangan niyo po 'yan," he added.

Before taping officially begins, Alden plans to spend his Holy Week with his family and take time for reflection.

"Since na-busy tayo during the first quarter of the year, wala akong masyadong time with them and reflect. Of course, since lumaki naman ako na Holy Week talaga is time for reflection and repentance, and we offer it to Lord Jesus Christ," he shared.

Love, Siargao” delves into the “Siargao Curse” lore, which suggests that visitors to the island either never leave or fall in love.

It follows the story of Jao (Alden) and Kara (Nadine), two strangers with opposing principles in life whose paths eventually cross as they navigate the highs and lows of modern romance.

The film is produced through a partnership between Viu Philippines, Viva Communications Inc., and GMA Network Inc. It is set to premiere on Viu later this 2026.

Aside from "Love, Siargao," Alden is also starring in the upcoming medical series, "Code Gray," and the upcoming international film, "Big Tiger." He is currently the host of "Stars on the Floor" Season 2, which airs every Sunday at 7:15 p.m. on GMA Network.

Recently, Alden finished ninth in a triathlon team relay in Davao City with Nico Bolzico and Wil Dasovich.
