Ruru Madrid to star in historical film 'Los Salvajes Bravos'

Ruru Madrid is set to return to the big screen!

The Kapuso Primetime Action Hero is one of the stars of the historical film, "Los Salvajes Bravos," Sparkle announced on Instagram. It is produced by JesCom Films and directed by Paolo Dy.

Joining Ruru in the cast are Michael De Mesa, Romnick Sarmenta, Christian Vasquez, Arnold Reyes, Paolo O'Hara, and Michael Roy Jornales, among others.

"Prepare to see a different side of Ruru in this cinematic exploration of Philippine history," Sparkle said.

Ruru previously won Best Supporting Actor at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival for his performance in the GMA Pictures film " Green Bones ," which also starred Dennis Trillo .

In 2023, he starred with Yassi Pressman in the film " Video City: Be Kind, Please Rewind ."

On television, Ruru starred in the action series " Lolong " and " Black Rider ." He is also known for playing Ybrahim in the 2016 version of "Encantadia."
