Barbie Forteza, Khalil Ramos, Sharon Cuneta, John Estrada to star in Prime Video original 'Honor Thy Mother'

Barbie Forteza and Khalil Ramos are set to star with Sharon Cuneta and John Estrada in the upcoming Prime Video original series, “Honor Thy Mother,” the streaming service revealed at an event on Tuesday in Makati City.

A story of family conflict and the complexities of relationships, “Honor Thy Mother” is a collaboration of three media giants, GMA Network, ABS-CBN, and Prime Video.

It is Khalil’s second project with Prime Video after the original series “Simula sa Gitna,” and he is “very excited” to work on this new one.

“They always champion the Filipino stories. I’m very much excited to be part of ‘Honor Thy Mother,’” Khalil said.

“I’m very excited because 'Honor Thy Mother' revolves around a mother-daughter relationship, family, and sacrifice of course,” John added.

Meanwhile, Barbie and Sharon are also very thrilled to be working with each other.

According to Sharon, she always sees Barbie at social gatherings, “tapos we would end up talking to each other, we really enjoy each other’s company every time.”

The Megastar added that she is “very pleased” about the GMA and ABS-CBN collaboration, saying “It’s like two families coming together and brought under one roof by Prime. So we’re very proud, very honored."

Barbie is likewise excited that big companies are coming together for this massive project.

“This is my first time working with Dreamscape, oh my gosh,” Barbie said.

“Ang laking kumpanya nagsama-sama para sa proyektong ito to give you this very great project,” the Kapuso Primetime Princess said.

At the event, Marian Rivera was also announced to star in "Behind Closed Doors," another Prime Video original.
