Jo Berry is set to explore a new on-screen dynamic in the upcoming action series "The Master Cutter."

According to Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" on Tuesday, Jo is set to have her first love team in the series.

"Mayroon, abangan," Jo shared. "Cute lang naman, cute naman na part ng story 'yun."

Jo also said she considers her role as Ame in "The Master Cutter"—the loyal sidekick to Dingdong Dantes' character—the most challenging role she has taken on so far.

"Si Ame dito laging kasama ni Atoy, 'yung karakter nga ni Kuya Dong. At ano siya, magkakampi sila so kasama siya sa mga missions," she said.

Despite the physically demanding scenes, Jo expressed gratitude for Dingdong's support on set.

She revealed that the actor consistently checked on her well-being, particularly after action-heavy sequences.

"Very maalaga si Kuya Dong. Laging niya akong chine-check, 'okay ka lang?' every after scenes, pag may actions or mga takbo, 'okay ka lang? 'okay ka pa? Mga ganoon," she said.

Jo will star in "The Master Cutter" with Dingdong, Max Collins, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, Sienna Stevens, and more. The series will premiere in May.

Jo is also set to star as herself in an upcoming episode of "Magpakailanman" titled "Little Big Dreamer," which will tell her life story. The episode will air on April 18. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA News
