Kelvin Miranda joins 'The Master Cutter' cast
Kelvin Miranda is taking on a more action-packed role as he joins the cast of "The Master Cutter."
According to Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" on Thursday, the Kapuso actor will portray Uno Alcaraz, a character he described as playful, mischievous, and fond of teasing others.
"Uno is playful. He's a bit mischievous and likes to tease people. We won't say it's a love triangle yet, but if there's potential, why not? Charlie [Fleming] and Prince [Carlos] are both great, and I'm happy to work with them," Kelvin said.
Joining "The Master Cutter" is also a dream come true for the actor, as it gives him the opportunity to work with lead star Dingdong Dantes.
"I'm grateful to be part of Kuya Dong's show. It's really my dream to work with Kuya Dong, and I'm very happy that I'm part of the show with him," he said.
Kelvin is no stranger to action roles, having previously played Adamus in the Kapuso mega series "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre."
He said his experience performing stunt routines in the fantasy series will come in handy as he takes on more action sequences in "The Master Cutter."
"Of course, we joined 'The Master Cutter' for the action. Let's look forward to the exciting action scenes we'll be doing. There are scenes here that will really surprise you," Kelvin said.
While details about his character remain under wraps, Kelvin teased that Uno's true allegiance is still uncertain.
"We don't know yet if he's an enemy or an ally. Let's just watch the upcoming episodes to find out if he will side with Atoy or join the enemy," he said.
"The Master Cutter" airs weeknights at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA News
