Hev Abi's label issues statement on rapper's arrest
Hev Abi's record label Urban Department PH has released a statement following the rapper's arrest.
Speaking on behalf of Hev Abi, Urban Department PH said they "categorically deny any and all allegations pertaining to this misunderstanding."
"Our legal counsel is working with the designated authors in finding a solution," it added.
Urban Department ended their statement, which was released on social media, with a message of gratitude "to everyone who continues to show their support."
Hev Abi was arrested early Tuesday morning along with six people during Oplan Paglalansag Omega in Barangay Laging Handa, Diliman, the Philippine National Police - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said.
Serving a search for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the police was able to seize during the operations a Taurus G3 9mm pistol, one magazine, and 15 rounds of live ammunition, as well as 11 cartridges containing suspected liquid marijuana, four sealed transparent plastic containing powder suspected to be cocaine and paraphernalia containing suspected marijuana.
Hev Abi is a 24-year-old independent artist who rose to fame with songs like "Alam Mo Ba Girl,” “Lil Kasalanan Shortie" and "QC Girl" to name a few.
He was slated to play the UP Fair on Wednesday but failed to show up.
