Bretman Rock shone a spotlight on Filipino representation at Coachella 2026, and is sure to get people to understand just how significant the moment was.

In the latest episode of The Baddest Radio, the Filipino-American content creator didn’t hold back his excitement over the Nation’s Girl Group performing on the global stage.

“I really don’t think y’all understand how big of a deal it is to have a girl group from the Philippines, like go to Coachella,” he said.

Bretman recalled watching BINI’s second weekend performance, where member Stacey greeted the crowd in Ilocano: “Coachella! Naimbag nga aldaw kadakayo amin” [Good day to all of you].

“And I’m like, that’s my Filipino sis,” Bretman said. “They were all speaking their native tongue, but Stacey, I believe, is the only Ilocano one.”

“And I’m like, that’s my bias, period,” he added.

At Coachella, Bremtna didn’t just show his support for the group, he also made time to meet with members Colet, Gwen, and Jhoanna for a photo.

BINI made "herstory" as the first Filipina and P-pop girl group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Their setlist included “Karera," “Salamin, Salamin," and their global hit "Pantropiko." —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
