Dingdong Dantes grateful for Marian Rivera’s support for ‘The Master Cutter’: ‘I love it’

Dingdong Dantes expressed gratitude for the support he has been receiving from wife Marian Rivera for his upcoming series, “The Master Cutter.”

In an interview with GMA News Online, the Kapuso actor spoke about Marian’s recent social media post promoting the show and said having his family behind him makes the experience even more meaningful.

“I love it. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam that you have that support, especially coming from your family kasi lahat naman ito ginagawa namin para sa kanila, para sa ating pamilya. At masarap sa pakiramdam na nandiyan sila to support you,” Dingdong said.

While Dingdong said their children are still too young to fully watch the series because of its PG-13 rating, he shared that he sometimes lets them see selected scenes.

“Although ‘yung kids ko lang, hindi pa nila mapapanood ito dahil PG-13, so hindi pa. Pero minsan may mga eksenang pwede kong ipasilip sa kanila,” he said.

The actor also opened up about how he prepares for the project, recalling that he learned a few magic tricks for a clown character.

“I make sure that I have fun while doing research. Like for example, nung nag-clown, pangarap ko talagang matuto ng magic. So nung ginagawa ko ‘yung role, nagpaturo na ako ng konting magic doon sa aming resource person. Tinuruan niya ako ng konting tricks. Pag-uwi ko, syempre, ginawa ko na sa mga anak ko. So para sa akin, hanep ‘yung experience na ‘yon,” he said.

Marian recently shared the trailer of “The Master Cutter” on Instagram, where she openly cheered for her husband and the whole production team.

“May feeling na ako, this will be one of my favorites,” Marian said. “Congrats sa buong team. Excited na kami mapanood ulit ang husay mo.”

Directed by Dominic Zapata, “The Master Cutter” also stars Max Collins, Paolo Contis, Jo Berry, Sienna Stevens, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, Anthony Constantino, and more.

It will premiere on GMA Prime on Monday, May 11. It will also stream on Netflix starting May 8.
