'Code Gray' cast members go on hospital immersion in preparation for series

The cast members of "Code Gray" had an immersion in a real hospital in preparation for their roles in the upcoming medical-drama series.

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Monday, among the stars who joined the immersion were Christopher De Leon, Kristoffer Martin, Christian Bautista, Jon Lucas, and Faith Da Silva.

"A lot of times nagampanan ko na ang doctor, but this one is entirely different. 'Yung nitty gritty of being a surgeon, of operating a hospital, it's not just going to be doctors, nurses, it's going to be a story, mga nagtatrabaho sa ospital and their personal lives," said Christopher.

The immersion's goal was to help the cast members equip themselves when it comes to the technical aspects of a hospital.

Per Kristoffer, they got to explore the facilities of the hospital and learn about the various machines used by health care workers.

"Nilibot namin 'yung buong facility, may mga spots sa hospital na first time kong napuntahan tsaka may mga machines na ginagamit sila, na-explain din sa amin nang maayos, na may mga ganun pala tayong machines na for specific purpose talaga siya," he said.

The experience also made Christian more appreciative of doctors and nurses "na binibigay ang buhay nila para sa ating mga paseyente."

For Jon and Faith, the immersion opened their eyes to the realities of Filipinos when it comes to health care.

"Sa emergency pa lang, nakita ko na talaga kung ano 'yung mga bagay na pinagdadaanan ng mga kapwa nating Pilipino, ating mga kababayan, and 'yung struggles talaga ng life, lalo na kung meron kang niraramdam na sakit," shared Faith.

"Sobrang daming natutunan, sobrang dami kong babaunin ngayon sa pag-uwi ko about sa medical and malaking bagay siya kasi nga ito 'yung gagawin nating teleserye," added Jon.

"Code Gray" will be headlined by Alden Richards.

Previously, the Asia's Multimedia Star expressed his excitement to work with his industry idol, Christopher, for the first time.

Other cast members include Shuvee Etrata, Allen Ansay, Andrea Torres, Romnick Sarmenta, and Joross Gamboa. —CDC, GMA News
