'Taskforce Firewall' dives into world of child trafficking in pilot episode

"Taskforce Firewall" made an intense debut on GMA primetime on Monday, May 25.

The episode started with Miguel Tanfelix as Galo and Kylie Padilla as Isa rappelling on a building.

The scene then cuts to a flashback 20 years ago, where children are kidnapped to be abused by foreigners on the internet. It is later revealed that young Isa, Galo, and Galo's brother Dino are among the victims.

The three children try to escape, but the kidnappers almost catch them in their attempt. Dino tells Galo and Isa to hide while he distracts the bad guys.

Shaira Diaz, who plays Isa's mother and also a police officer, finds Galo and Isa during the rescue operation, but Galo runs back and refuses to leave Dino behind.

Meanwhile, Isa is told to remain hiding, but she comes out after hearing that one of the police officers died, worried for her mother.

Galo finds Dino who is being hurt by one of the kidnappers. He tries to fight off the man, who shoots Dino.

Isa finds them, but Galo blames her for his brother's death. She returns to hiding and is later found by her mother, but she witnesses her mom get shot by an unseen enemy.

The scene then cuts to the present, with Isa now an adult practicing martial arts. Isa then vows to find the person who killed her mother.

The teaser for the next episodes shows the taskforce coming together to fight their enemies.
