Christian Bautista says Jillian Ward is fit to be judge on 'The Clash Teens'
Christian Bautista has nothing but praise for Jillian Ward, who is one of the new judges on “The Clash Teens.”
On “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Thursday, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer said Jillian is fit to be a judge on the singing competition.
“She knows the generation, she can sing very well, and she can dance very well as well,” Christian said.
“Sa [‘All-Out Sundays’] ‘pag nag-pe-perform ‘yan, talagang lahat kami in awe. You're also gonna have a concert,” he added.
Jillian's first-ever concert will be held on July 31 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Meanwhile, Jillian said that she felt nervous and scared when she was tapped as a judge since it would be her first time.
“Syempre, I made sure din po na nag-singing lessons ako, nag-research ako. And ever since talaga po bata ako, mahilig na po ‘ko sa halos lahat ng genres ng music,” she shared.
Jillian added that she accepted the job because it is a part of a new chapter in her life and career.
“I really wanted to do it. Lalo na po puro Gen Z ‘yung mga contestants, so I think meron po akong mga ma-sh-share na wisdom sa kanila kasi tumanda na po ‘ko dito sa industry. Alam ko ‘yung paano ma-pressure and I can give them advice on how they could keep on going despite po ‘yung mga naririnig nila,” Jillian said.
Jillian, Christian, and BGYO’s JL make up “The Clash Teens’” panel of judges.
“The Clash Teens” premieres on June 7 at 7:15 p.m. on GMA-7.
