Cassy Legaspi clarifies foreigner she was with in Siargao 'just my friend'
Cassy Legaspi has clarified that the foreigner she was spotted with in Siargao is just a friend. The Sparkle star made the clarification after they were photographed together on the island, prompting netizens to wonder whether the guy was a special someone.
In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Thursday, Cassy explained that she went to Siargao with her friends and that it was her first time there.
Among the spots they visited was Malinao Bridge, where they went skateboarding.
"I’m willing to hit all the tourist spots sa Siargao because, again, I love Siargao. Sabi ko, 'ano gagawin natin dito?' 'Skateboard tayo,' 'okay, ikaw muna,' so my friend skateboarded first. Ako, sabi ko, 'sige upo muna ako' and my friend, my friend sat beside me and I didn't know na-picturan and na-videohan kami," she said.
"And then eventually it was blown out of proportion na jowa ko siya or something, and honestly we just laughed about it kasi he's just my friend," she added.
Cassy also confirmed in Canlas' report that she is currently single.
The actress is set to star in "Whispers from Heaven" along with Sean Lucas.
The show is headlined by Bea Alonzo and will also star Tom Rodriguez, Maricar Reyes, Eunice Lagusad, Vanessa Peña, and more.
Per Cassy, "Whispers from Heaven" may be a drama, but the atmosphere on set remains light.
"Okay, 'yung conflict and 'yung drama, sa story lang po 'yun ha pero sa set complete opposite. Parang every time magka-cut siya, okay, back to being light tawanan, ganoon," she shared.
Sean, for his part, shared that his role in the show is new to him.
"Very different po sa usual na I do hosting. 'Yung past roles ko is very comedic talaga, siguro ito it's more serious," he shared.
Aside from "Whispers from Heaven," Sean is set to host "The People Have Spoken" with Heart Evangelista.
