Kris Aquino celebrates birthday of son Josh: 'You are my inspiration'
Kris Aquino celebrated the birthday of her eldest son, Josh, with an intimate gathering at home surrounded by family and close friends.
On Instagram, the Queen of All Media shared photos from the celebration along with a heartfelt message expressing her love and gratitude for Josh, whom she described as one of her biggest sources of strength amid her ongoing health battle.
“Had I not been yours and Bimb’s mama, I wouldn’t have the courage and the purpose to continue with my treatments,” Kris wrote.
She reflected on her struggle with rheumatoid arthritis, saying the daily pain can be difficult to bear but Josh and her younger son, Bimby, have always been there to support her.
Kris also thanked Josh for encouraging her to leave her room and spend time with family, even during the most challenging days.
“Thank you kuya for your encouragement to get me out of bed as you lead me outside to the living room to watch our favorite shows. You’re the only one who has the power to get me moving. My wish is to one day be able to join you for your daily 7000 to 10,000 steps. You are my inspiration,” she said.
“I love you very much,” she added.
Kris has been battling nine autoimmune conditions.
She left for the United States in 2022 to seek treatment and returned to the Philippines in 2024.
