Heart Evangelista on 'The People Have Spoken': 'The show where we can all be in one room and be friends after'
Heart Evangelista shared her excitement over hosting the upcoming Kapuso game show “The People Have Spoken.”
During her guest appearance on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” with co-host Sean Lucas on Friday, Heart said that people will see a different version of her on the show.
“I’m excited. Although medyo malikot naman din akong tao, it's a side that people don't really see of me,” she said.
The actress added that viewers are more accustomed to seeing her in fashion-related projects and glamorous settings, but the show allows her to showcase her authentic personality.
“Madaldal ako. Lagi kasi 'pag sa fashion, 'pag sa emote-emote, it's a character, 'di ba? In a way, we play. But here, I think it's more of myself,” she explained.
Heart also highlighted the show's ability to bring together people with different perspectives, even joking that it is the kind of program where she could invite her critics.
“Sabi ko nga, this is like a show na pwede mong invite 'yung mga bashers mo. Tapos in the end, nag-i-inuman na lang kami after kasi pwede pala kayo maging friends. Parang ganun,” she said.
According to the actress, misunderstandings often create divisions between people, and the show provides an opportunity to close those gaps through conversation and shared experiences.
“Kasi 'yun naman eh. It's really the misunderstanding of people that creates that gap. And this is the show where we can all be in one room and actually be friends after,” Heart said.
Meanwhile, for Sean, one of the things that sets “The People Have Spoken” apart from other shows is its focus on gathering opinions directly from the live studio audience.
“Siguro something different about the show din, Tito Boy, is that ang kinukuha mo yung pulso nung audience. So, the people that are there live, yun yung opinion nila yung kinukuha natin, not only just the general people,” he said.
“The People Have Spoken” is a new original Pinoy game show by GMA Entertainment Group.
The game will feature 100 studio audience members, who will answer questions on various topics and issues.
It is set to premiere on Saturday, June 6, on GMA Network.
