Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Klea Pineda spoke about misogyny and online harassment, sharing their frustrations over sexist remarks and harmful messages that continue to persist in 2026.

On Tuesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Jasmine questioned why misogynistic behavior remains prevalent despite growing conversations about respect and gender equality.

Basic decency ba, Tito Boy,” Jasmine said.

She admits to finding it difficult to understand why some people intentionally take the time to post hurtful comments online.

Kumausap ka na lang kaya ng psychologist or someone that can explain it better to you.

Her comments come months after she publicly criticized Rep. Bong Suntay for making remarks about her sister, Anne Curtis, during a House committee hearing.

According to Jasmine, at the time, the incident was not just about one celebrity but about how women continue to be “reduced to bodies in spaces dominated by men in power.”

Klea, meanwhile, opened up more the online message she received that contained a rape threat.

And siya (Janella Salvador), pinipigilan niya ako madalas,” Klea said.

But the threatening message left her shaken, she said.

Klea said.

Janella, who has been supporting Klea through the ordeal, said she encourages the actress not to dwell on negative comments online.

“First of all, ‘wag kang magbasa. Hindi. Pero aside from that, of course, nobody, really, nobody deserves to be on the receiving end of that. So, ako, I really just, as much as possible, gusto kong maging andyan, makikinig lang ako kapag kailangan niya,” she Janella said.

Jasmine, Klea, and Janella star together in the 2025 queer film “Open Endings” with OPM singer Leanne Mamonong.

It is set to return to cinemas on Wednesday. — LA, GMA News
