Dingdong Dantes, daughter Zia lend voices to upcoming animated series 'Sun Chaser'

The father-daughter tandem of Dingdong Dantes and Zia will be featured in the upcoming animated series “Sun Chaser!”

In an Instagram post, PPL Entertainment shared that Dingdong will be the voice actor for the character of Necrofrost while Zia will voice the character of Sessa.

According to production company Toon City Animation, Necrofost is among the series’ villains, while Sessa is Jordan’s (Manuel Jacinto) cousin.

Aside from Dingdong and Zia, the animated series will also feature the voices of Liza Soberano, Charo Santos, AC Bonifacio, KD Estrada and Filipino-American actors Manny Jacinto, JR De Guzman and Eugene Cordero.

Created by Filipino-American animator Bobby Pontillas, “Sun Chaser” is a fantasy adventure rooted in Filipino mythology and magic. It follows Jordan Santos, an unassuming teen whose chill summer in the Philippines takes a wild turn when a supernatural threat plunges his island into chaos.

As ancient powers awaken and long-buried family secrets come to light, Jordan must rise to the call of a legacy he never knew he had—protecting the rift between the human and spirit worlds.

The first episode will be released on June 22 on YouTube.
