'You're My Favorite Song' introduces today's new top stars

“You’re My Favorite Song” finally had its much-awaited premiere!

The new GMA Afternoon Prime series has introduced stars to watch for.

We first meet Miguel, a famous band vocalist played by Heath Jornales.

He tries something new and dresses in a teddy bear costume to busk at the Manila Park to escape fame.

Miguel bumps into Angel, played by Caprice Cayetano, and spills food on her bag. They have a confrontation, but later make up when Miguel gets Angel a new bag.

He also becomes smitten with Angel and dedicates an original song to her.

Meanwhile, Angel's Lolo Xavi gets diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and has only a year to live. He refuses chemotherapy. With this, Angel creates a bucket list for him to achieve before his passing, such as giving Angel a medal and traveling to Boracay. The major one is to have a resort.

Angel studies all about how to build a resort. The family then visits their beach property and plans out how to build it, with Angel taking the lead on the project.

The pilot episode also introduces Clifford as Calix and Marco Masa as Zion, where the former bullies the latter. Angel, the new transfer student, defends Zion and stands up to Calix.

“You’re My Favorite Song” airs weekdays at 4:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
